Working toward residencyChallenge: What to Do When a Skilled Migrant’s Job Disappears?

The client’s employer first went into liquidation, without telling our client that her employment was at risk. It then became clear that the client’s standard of English was also questionable. Solution? We helped them get a new job and then helped with ESL tuition.

Outcome

We advised our client to obtain a job offer from a new employer at short notice, and submitted this to be assessed with the application, which was already processing. We personally coached the client daily to improve her English ability, and arranged private tuition for her. The client was then asked to attend an interview at Immigration New Zealand to assess her standard of English. The client and her family are now residing in Hamilton as residents, working for the new employer. They will soon be eligible for permanent residence. We are very proud of her commitment to learning English, and are thrilled to have been able to assist.

“Kamil Lakshman and her company IDESI legal limited have given me and family the best thing that immigrant like me ever wanted, which is Residency. The company was so easy to find and once we arrived her staffs is very nice and welcoming. During the process of my residency is was one of the hardest time for me and my family, I had face many problems such as English problem, salary problem and my old employer haven’t  pay my tax right. Kamil and her staffs was always there for us to solved own problems. The things I liked were their team works and how they tracked my case down very good. “I have already recommended this company to some of my friends and they are in processing stage of get their residency.”
